Commercial Description:
An American version of the Belgian style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.

Bottle. Nothing special; kinda bad for a white beer actually. Not enough malt and the belgian yeast flavor is missing. On the other hand, it is very drinkable.

Served off tap. Pours golden with a little head. Smelled fruity, although the bar was smokey so as to interfere with aroma. Very light bodied and tingling on the palate. Tastes nice, a lighter, fruitier example of the style. Not so much spice as fruit but not bad.

Bottle: The aroma is rather perfumey with a some sweet corn as well. It pours a hazy yellow with a small white head and some very fine sediment. The flavor starts with sweet corn and a hint of lemon with some faint bitterness and pepper in the finish.

Pours hazy apple juice color...no head, retentively, at least. Herbs, spices, melon and citrus combine in the aroma. The flavor is of an American wheat with coriander and orange rind (definitive), subtly finishing off the back palate. Mouthfeel could stand to be a bit more satiating, it’s even a bit watery. Overall, not terrible, but a bit underwhelming.

Pours golden and cloudy with a nice white head. Fruity aroma to it and nice flavor.

This was a pleasant surprise while out at Yard House in Glendale. It had a little kick to it that was unexpected. Very nice indeed.

Pours a honey color with a white fizzy head with little retention. Plenty of carbonation. Flavor is spices and coriander with a surprising hint of honey. I do like this style and its variations. They are so pleasant to drink and this beer is an example of that.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy golden color. Aromas of grapefuit and dough. The flavors exhibit some distinct spiciness from the coriander. I would prefer a bit less of the spices. Not as refreshing as the Ommegang but definitely acceptable.
