| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 19, 2007 Draft in chilled-near-frosted (aarrgh!) pint glass at Mellow Mushroom Brandon. Pours bright yellow, disappointingly clear, with small white head that retained a ring throughout the pint. Aroma of overripe lemons, some spice, and some sweetness like vanilla. Surprisingly flavorless, except lingering sweetness, even when warmed up. Medium body, slightly too heavy for Belgian White, with out-of-place, typical American-micro hop bite in finish. Can’t decide whether to be a Belgian-style white or another lame craft-brewed Blande (sic). I would definitely call this an American Wheat and not a Belgian White despite some citrus and spicing. Especially disappointing because I really like 8-Ball Stout. mikeben (344), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | May 15, 2007 Similer to Hoegaarden, this is a great beer with a nice flavor. It doesn’t really feel like a domestic knock off and is brewed with a lot care. As this is (along with Lambic’s) my favorite style I must give it a thumbs up. lovemyipas (420), sw burbs, Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 10, 2007 Pours a nice golden color with a thin white head that leaves good lacing behind. Has hints of light fruits, some malts, and little bit of hop. Has a good mouthfeel with a nice refreshing citrus taste. It is light and real easy to drink. Has a nice clean finish on the tongue. extremeicon (109), Wichita, Kansas, USA
| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | May 3, 2007 Ugh. This beer was so horrible that I couldn’t help but finally (after years of lurking) write up my very first review just to bitch about it. My first impression was a skunky aroma I’ve never encountered before with a white. For an "unfiltered" beer, this also seemed a bit clear and uninteresting. From the first sip I knew this one was going to be a struggle to finish as the taste and mouthfeel were both reminiscent of stale 7-Up. I can easily think of a dozen whites I’d rather drink. kflorence (93), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2007 Updated: Mar 3, 2008bottle. golden in color, smells of citrus, wheat and barley... yeast as well. pretty standard belgian style white ale with a little extra kick from the barley, gives it a unique flavor. not as smooth as other witbiers, but also kind of a dull flavor. it tastes good, and is very drinkable, but doesn’t really stand out. refreshing, but i’d rather have a hoegaarden. csbosox (1085), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 1, 2007 Gold colored, excellent clarity that is nice on some beers, but not wits. One fingered, white head. Aroma is grassy and spicy, some yeast. Flavor is grassy and herbal with a touch of sweet citrus, clean malt, and mild yeast white head. Smooth finish, nice mouthfeel. Easy drinking, would be a great beer for hot weather camping. In the end, seems like an overly dumbed down example of the style. I wasn’t aware that that was " an American version of the Belgian style," since I have had many American versions that rival Belgian ones.
