Commercial Description:
An American version of the Belgian style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.

Clear shiney golden body, creamy white head. Nice looking. Sweet lemoney / sugared zest. Light wheaty grains. Sweet perfume. Maybe some fresh watermelon / fruit salad. Very pleasing aroma. Flavor is light… dusty grains and background sweetness. Okay beer, prefer the aroma, but taste is okay.

Wow, this is sure toned down! Eons ago I fell in love with a brew called Cape Blanco Mist, from Lost Coast. A simply wonderful belgian style that they had changed names on to Great White because they figured nobody knew where Cape Blanco was. Sadly, the name ain’t the only thing that morphed. Or I had a bad bottle. CB tasted fresh with lots of spicy coriander in the flavor. GW has hints of coriander. Pours a good head, which quickly upon starting to drink. Tangy aftertaste which stays on the pallate a bit. Nothing special in the aroma. Cloudy appearence as expected. Will probably try it again, and maybe from tap to see if this was an older batch I had in the bottle.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a minimal head. Citrus scented. Clean tasting and has a nice finish. I was surprised to see this was a Belgian. Very nice.

Pours golden with an opaque haze and a white head that holds as a thickish film. Lemon cookie aroma shifts to taffy then again to orange madelines. A malty base carries citrus fruits with the sweetness of baked goods. A little thick in the mouth but it finishes with crisp spiciness.

12 oz bottle. Pale and lightly cloudy body with small off-white head. A fresh, fruity aroma with some citrus to it. Really refreshing taste with fruits and lemon. Nothing to do at all with a witbier if you ask me. But I really appreciated this refreshing beer anyway. Close to a perfect summer beer with a hint of something extra.

Bottle... NTB Ernesto Festo ’06... Clear yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Floral, perfumey nose with a touch of citrus and just a suggestion of spice. The flavor is bland, but well-balanced and refreshing. Light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, clean finish.
