Commercial Description:
An American version of the Belgian style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.

Small white head with a hazy pale straw appearance. Mild aroma of citrus/flowers. Light body, medium carboantion, medium bitterness and medium sweetness. Low to medium bitterness. Nice hoppy finish which adds a lot to the beer. Medium to low flowery/ citrussy taste. More predominate citrus taste than flower taste.

On tap at Plumpjack in Squaw Valley.

Yawn. I was expecting a nice witbier. I got a boring American Wheat instead. Mild flavor, hints of spice and citrus peel but no real punch. Drinkable enoguh, but certainly not a stellar attempt.

Bottle-Cloudy yellow color with a solid amount of citrus aroma. The citrus flavor was softer than the aroma, neither hoppy or malty.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a hazy, light golden colored beverage with a tiny fizzy white head that was completely gone in seconds and left no lacing on the glass. With the fairly low alcohol content of this beer, it really should hold a head better. The initial aroma that met my nose was of dirty sox. Deeper inhaling brought out malt and an earthy yeast nose. The body was medium light with soft carbonation and a light watery texture. The flavor started off slightly sweet with subtle citrus hints. As the flavor matured on the palate it took on a slight bit of bitterness but not much.

A very enjoyable beer that I really like what they did. Pop the bottle open and right away you can smell the corriander (which I absolutely adore) and the malt, which is what you also get in your glass. Appearance is very light yellow with a nice head. Mouthfeel is also light and refreshing. Flavor is citric, like diluted lemon juice, with a lemongrass flavor. Very drinkable. Great stuff!

Pours darker than I had expected. Somewhat amber in color.Palate is citrus in flavor. More full bodied than what I had and light to drink. Expected more out of this one after the Downtown Brown. Average at best.

12 oz. bottle into a Tulip glass. Pours a beautiful and light hazy yellowish amber color with a very present white head. Aroma scents are very floral, orangey, and cirtrusy. Light body with a medium mouthful taste of hints of mainly coriander and citrus with a touch of spice near the finish. Light bitterness towards the end as well. A decent, but not fantastic wit knock-off.

Bottle. Poured hazy amber with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium sweet flavor with a sweet finish of moderate duration. Refreshing spring/summer brew.
