Lost coast’s indica was so good. this beer is a bad example of a belgian wit. It is unfiltered but too light a color - no real flavor - just plain weak. nick76 (2694), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 19, 2005 The aroma is sweet, spicy, and with a hint of pine, banana, and lemon. The appearance is cloudy and amber/yellow with a small head. The flavor is complex with bananas, coriander, citrus, and bread. The palate is smooth but thin. The aftertaste is a little blah. A very nice beer just lacking something that would make it great. HogTownHarry (4026), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Bottle (12oz). Poured hazy yellow with an average creamy-foamy white head, plenty of bubbles. Aroma of vegetal grain, mild spice, stale citrus hops, maybe a hint of apricot - a not very nice standard belgian wit aroma. Taste is a huge whack of ginger and coriander, followed by some pretty lame, sweet wit - mouthfeel is tingly from the ginger, but a little thin. I don’t much care for belgian wheats at the best of times and this is a poor attempt. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 9, 2005 Pours a cloudy yellow. Aromas of orange and spice. Flavor has too much orange, I didn’t care for this beer at all. White beers aren’t high on my list. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 28, 2005 Aroma of wheat, spice and yeast, hazy yellow, pours a good sized, firm white head, pretty lace. Lemon candy taste, with wheat, a bit of yeast, but no spice? Light bodied, refreshing. Average. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Bottle. Poured a very clear yellow with a fizzy, white head that mostly lasted and left some lacing. The aroma was hoppy with wheat and grass standing out. The flavor had citrus, grass, other light hops. Light body. Looked very highly carbonated but was not that bad on the mouth, still pretty lively though. Nothing special, just OK. thelandstander (46), Davis, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 22, 2005 Bottle. Easily the brightest yellow I’ve seen of any beer -- unfortunately that was about the only highlight. Poured with very little head and what was there dissipated quickly. Carbonation was too abrasive. Wasn’t too impressed by the flavor --too herby and wheaty and not citrusy enough. Below average in my opinion. zach8270 (2138), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 13, 2005 Updated: Dec 14, 2008[bottle - 12 oz] Hazy yellow color with a thin and fizzy white head. Light aroma of citrus, wheat and some soap. The flavor is rather fruity and soapy with hints of wheat, citrus and some other various grains. Not too terrible, but I still would prefer Hoegaarden for a witbier.
