Lost Coast Imperial Pilsner

Aroma has some hop oil, ranging from nail polish remover-like scents to some floral aromas. A little boring and unusual in appearance, with a flat look, a little collar with a cloudy golden color. A very good malt undertone with biting hop qualities and some sharpness in flavor. Very nutty and somewhat velvety finish and a bit of the bitter.

This poured a hazy yellow color with a big fluffy white head. Aroma was sweet sdweet wheaty malts with hints of alcohol as well. Flavor was sweet with a flash of some hoppy bitterness and a long boozy aftertaste. This should not taste this strong at only 7.5

Draft @ Lost Coast. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Has a malty grainy and slightly hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy hoppy flavor. Has a sweetish grainy finish with a long bitter aftertaste.

very dissappointing. I was expexting this brew to pack a punch. No such luck. It was very bland and a little watery. Pass on this one.

At the brewpub, this was a cloudy orange, with small white pub head and light lacing. Nose of malts and citrus hops. Rich mouttfeel. Flavor is mostly citrus and pine hops, and the finish is nicely bitter. Hides the alcohol well. Easy drinking for such a high alcohol beer.

On tap at Capone’s. Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium creamy/bubbly white head that left some lacing. Aroma of sweet almost candy like maltiness, citrus, floral and lightly spicy hop notes and honey nut cheerios. Flavor of spicy, citrusy notes. Noble hops, lots of malty sweetness, but finishes dry. Hop bitterness is there, light alcohol and grainy notes. Iced tea flavor as it warmed up.

Aroma – Nice decent hops and malt aroma.
Appearance – Golden in color, clear with a light head.
Flavor – A very nice pilsner flavor. Has a good balance of malts and hops. Strong alcohol flavor also.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, Nice texture with a dry finish.
Overall – Good Pilsner flavor this was a good beer for the night.
