carbonation. Mealy nose, certainly malty, but also a fairly strong hop aspect. Even a slight floral hint. Seems decent
enough. Forwardly hoppy, a little bit of heat, decent malt background. Not as flavorful as the nose suggested but still quite
good. Fairly clean. This certainly feels like an Imperial Pilsner. More hops than most. Body and mouthfeel are full
to moderate. Warming finish. I enjoyed this one even if it was a little abrasive. Will probably mellow with time.

Fairly crisp, with light diacetyl. Fairly dry towards the finish, with some biscuity, grainy notes. A hit or miss style - this misses for me, taking me nowhere. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Cloudy orange, thin white head. Smells kind of sweet and sour. Its heavy - overly so, actually - and sweet at first, then a nice bitter finish. On tap, Barley’s Aheville. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Rich gold color, clear and crisp. Small white head. Grainy, bready flavor with a nice boost from bittering floral hops. Alcohol nicely masked in this amazing beer. Not a typical pils, but quite nicely crafted. redlight (1495), Winter Park, Florida, USA

Pours rich gold color with a thick white head. Crisp, cereal, great pilsner flavor, kicked up a notch. One of the better imperial pils i’ve had actually. marcus (1896), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2007 On tap at Vino’s in Roseville, CA. I really don’t like pilsners, but this one was actually pretty good. The taste starts off a bit sweet, then turns bitter at the finish. The body is surprisingly strong and malty for this type of beer. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2007 On tap at the Federal in Durham, NC. Orange color resembles an IPA more than a pils. Slightly cloudy. Big white head. Earthy hops with a touch of lemon grass in the aroma. Malty flavor with a touch of hops and a surprisingly dry finish that gets harsh by the end of the gllass. Ain’t nothing wrong with this one.
