Pleasent hoppy nose of citrus and pine with a hint of sweet malt. Flavor is in line with the aroma, hoppy and well balanced. Med to full body, soft carb, a little watery in the texture, and a light dry feel. Not a hop bomb, but still a decent IPA. Worth a try and it has a great name. Aroma is plenty floral, also has notes of curry spice, caramelized sugar and wood. Lots of spicy hops on the palate and a long, peppery finish. Mouthfeel is quite rich, carbo is present but doesn’t overwhelm which is nice. A great Northwest IPA. TipsyMcStager (928), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Pleasant citrus and malt aroma. Pours a slightly cloudy copper, nice long lasting head. Earthy malt, quite flavourful. A nice drinking beer, but I gotta ask, what happened to the hops? I was expecting a little more bitterness in the finish. More of a light american pale than a west coast IPA to style. afireinside96 (838), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Got a bottle of this the other night at a restaurant. After pouring the entire contents of it into my glass I noticed there was a ton of sediment floating around, didn’t think they would bottle condition in a screw top. Beyond the chunks it was an orange amber color with a decent sized head. Smelled of fresh citrus, caramel, and pine. Taste was very similar with a constant battle being waged for taste dominance: citrus or caramel. Nicely balanced and it went great with my tandoori chicken sandwich. sickassmick (82), Concord, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2008 Pours hazily amber with thin white head and decent retention. Mouth feel has adequate body. Definate recognition of hops through the tongue, but definately not overwhelming. Hops with notes of citrus. Enjoyable middle of the road IPA. RCL (1480), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 10, 2008 12oz bottle. Couldn’t find a date on it, and in retrospect, I wish it had one because this definitely tastes a little old. Either that, or I’m way to used to more straight hop-bomb beers. Nice amber-orange color with a pillowy head. Aroma of candied grapefruit and orange; a little malty. The flavor is a thick maltiness with a kiss of grapefruity hops and some melon-like fruitiness. Pretty weak on the hops if you ask me. Not bad at all, but I was definitely looking for more hops when I picked this up. the mouthfeel is pretty full and a little unclean. Tastes like a decent, balanced pale ale. I’m hoping that this was just a little old because the hops could use a boost.
