cloudy and grainy with a frothy white head. flavors of sweet straw malt and grapefruit are predominant. nice aroma. distant pine essence. a touch oily and yes astringent quality to a bitterness that lingers. good body but something that i am not crazy about in the backwash that is dull.-it is a lack of carbonation- nice ipa for a hophead

Sampled from 12oz brown bottle at EFoB ’08. Dark orange pour, head is off white, shrinks quickly. Aroma of orange/citrus and some malt. Flavour has decent amount of malt, citrus/grapefruit hop flavour. Lingering hop aftertaste. Light body with some tight carbonation.

Draught. Pours dark amber with a moderate white head. Aroma is pine and citrus hops, with some backing malt and a little floral character. Flavor is strong pine and semi-sweet malt, with a bit of citrus. Quite tasty.

Pours a cloudy orange-amber with an off-white head. Aroma is light citrus and flower hops, some malt. Head stays swirly on the beer through duration. Taste is very piney, light malt. Pretty light bodied for an IPA. Overall, not offensive, however nothing impressive.

On tap at the yard-House in Brea, Ca. Pours amber brown with a fluffy white/cream head. Slight aroma of hops and roasted nuts. Flavor begins with a nice roastiness then becomes slightly hoppy with a very faint hint of citrus. Finishes with a nice dry hoppy throat. Not the best IPA, but still pretty good.

Not crazy about this one. Looks very nice, lots of malt and floral on the nose, but nothing exciting in the taste. Surprised this is rated so high.
