Sample at Alan’s HSC initation, thanks Dogbrick: Aroma is buttery, caramel malts, pine, and light citrus rind. Bit of a lack of follow-through on flavor, however, it is an enjoyable beer. Nice blend of hops here contributing to the earthiness and citrus flavor. Hops get stronger on the palate as it fades, oddly enough.

Not an overly impressive IPA - more of a PA the way it came across to me...I do like, however, the developing palate - from mildly sweet to bitter...all while remaining smooth...

Nice aroma with touches of malt, grapefruit and a floral quality which appears in the flavor. What makes this IPA interesting is the way the hops and malts connect. Some bread in there too. There is almost a banana flavor here. Good body with a nice hoppy bite to it and a dryish finish. Overall, a very flavorful and well balanced IPA which does the job without bombarding the senses. The aftertaste is a bit too tangy though. From the NEPA case split thanks to Jim R.

Kind of suspect looking and it has a screw off top, but very good. Extremely full flavored but still highly drinkable and refreshing. Nice balance in the taste. Initial sweet malt taste is replaced by a bitter grapefruit and piney hop flavor at the end. Lightly bitter, lingering aftertaste. Smooth and complex

Don’t know why this beer doesn’t get more love that it does. It clearly is a well made IPA and maybe if it weren’t for the odd looking label, this would get a bit more looks at it. The aroma is spicy/piney hops, a clean (ablbeit subdued) malt bill with an underlying amount of cat piss. Appearance is copper in color with a nice two-finger thick off-white head. Flavor has a healthy dose of piney/spicy hop character to it with an equally healthy balance of caramel malts. Again, I wish I could give half points on this site. Very nice beer.

Pours a hazy tangerine with big white head. Nice hoppy citrus and pine aroma. Quite tart grapefruit flavor with other dry citrus, & earthy hops present. Very good beer, a little on the bitter/tangy side as far as balance. Well worth another go...

A nice opaque light amber color with an oily soapy eggshell head. Big lacing. Aroma is full of hop with grapefruit and pine. Caramel, also. This IPA is as full of hop as most IIPAs. It offers a big tart bite with grapefruit, floral and grass notes. Pine, and caramel. It offers a bitter zingy floral citrus aftertaste. Creamy otherwise. It probably gets a higher score because of its bigger hop presence. A solid IPA / APA.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark gold with a huge 3 finger rocky white head. Nose is sweet malts and ripe citrus. Palate is caramel malt at first, followed by orange peel and grapefruit, with a resiny pine finish. Medium mouth feel with delicate lacing on the glass. Really good ipa.
