Fruity and caramel flavors with strong hop bitterness and dry finish. Medium body, medium carbo. Pretty damn good. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Another unmemorable IPA. I don’t know what else to say. It was hoppy and lacked any of the distinguishing MALT character that makes an IPA drinkable for me. I’m just not an IPA guy. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Pours a hazy, amber golden with tiny impurities and a dense, white head. Distnct, fat hop aroma with notes of citrus and apricot. Medium body with sweetish caramel and very fruity notes from the aroma hops. Yet still very balanced with a moderate bitterness. 230807 kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 23, 2007 bottle: Aroma was medium with notes of floral and citrus hops. poured copper with a good head that had lots of staying power. flavor with bitter with lots of floral taste and spiciness, and also typical citrus notes. I really like it when hops add that subtle spice to an ipa. It makes in more than just a one dementional citrus hop flavor like some ipas. medium palate. good ipa AndyHasFins (24), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2007 When I’m in the mood for a real extra hoppy IPA, this is a good one. It’s goes down great with a cigar too, but it’s not a beer I would drink all the time, as the extra-hoppy bitterness can be a bit much after a while. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2007 Draft @ the brewpub. Murky burnt copper color with a darker ivory head. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet and malty with pronounced bitterness. I’m not convinced I was served the right beer although I was assured I was. I’ll have to rerate it to confirm. It’s good as a pale ale though. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Ok to Good, IPA. Not Terrible. Much more spicy than hoppy but still hoppy. Palate is a bit harsh. Could be smoother and more balanced for my regular IPA taste. Not much citrus flavor either. Sort of soapy flavor too. I got another bottle so I’ll give it another look but for now, it seems overrated to me.
