| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2009 12oz bottle from grape & gourmet. pours a very nice, light, hazy, copper with a fluffy, white head and great lacing. aroma is very nice with citrus hop notes of grapefruit, orange rind, and spicy earth, a bit of sugary sweetness, and lightly toasted malts. flavor quite tasty as well with big, orange citrus hop notes, spicy herbal notes, a bit of pine, and a very solid balance of bready, caramel malts with a dry, bitter finish. palate is medium bodied, well carbonated, and slightly juicy on the tongue. overall, a very good west coast IPA. drowland (1410), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

The flavor has a pretty solid balance of malt and hops, with a touch of alcohol coming through as it warms. yesyouam (602), Fairport, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Lost Coast Indica India Pale Ale is a hazy reddish amber ale with lots of particles in it. It has a dense, splotchy, yellowed off-white head that has good retention and leaves incredible lacing on the glass. It has a resiny, slightly sweet aroma that’s perhaps a touch wooden. It’s medium, maybe medium-full bodied, very smooth and foamy with a pretty clean finish. It seems a touch syrupy. It’s well balanced, pretty fruity and slightly sweet. There’s nothing extreme here. jtodd5dot1 (32), Marina, California, USA

So I don’t know what it looks like, but I really liked this one. There was the distinctive hoppiness you would expect from an IPA, but it didn’t overbear or kill you with hops. Great beer. Goes well with Fritos. garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA

Tastewise, it’s a good West Coast style IPA, with some nice underlying spicey notes. yespr (12174), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Tangering fruity aroma, light spiced touch. Bitter and fruity flavoured. Vague malt base et smooth and not out of balance between sweetness and hops. Nice mix between fruity notes and the sweet fruit sensation. Savvy1982 (303), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
