| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Pours a nice hazy copper color with a medium cramy head. Quickly receding. The aroma is slightly bitter, some pine notes. The flavor is full, gotta give it that. Alcohol is noticeable. Bitter, some pine, and mostly hop. Some sweetness. The palate is waxy and bitter. Finish is mostly harsh and bitter. Definitely an IPA. Leans on the dry/bitter side. Not my taste. molassesfan (201), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Pours dark amber with a thin off-white head. Large yeast chunks make this look very unappealing. However, aroma is complex with notes of citrus and pine and taste is similar with a surprising amount of malt. If they could just make it look better (i.e. less chunky) it would be a truly great beer. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

I love that this one has a pretty big malt aroma and flavor. Also some bitter hops, grapefruit and mild pine. I was suprised with this one. Very good. patrick767 (2052), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 21, 2007 bottle - Pours murky copper with large yeast floaters and a moderately sized head. Obviously the aroma and flavor are both very hoppy. The malt balance is alright. It’s medium bodied and has some mild citrus notes. It seemed very simple to me though and the hops flavor tasted flat rather than crisp. I suspect the bottle was too old. JohnnyZ (81), USA

Bottle: The aroma has notes of fruit and light caramel with moderate amounts of grapefruit and light pine. It pours a cloudy reddish-orange with lots of fine sediment as well as a few larger pieces. The head is small and off-white and fades quickly to a small soapy looking ring. The flavor starts with a very quick and light dose of caramel and fruit that fade almost instantly to a big piney and light grapefruit hopped finish. The bitterness lingers on the tongue for quite a while. It’s tastey, but too one-dimensional to be great. glennmastrange (868), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Updated: Jul 16, 2007Bottle. Nice fruity aroma, very complex. So much so, that after two bottles I still coundn’t pick out all the individual notes. I did pick up cherry, dates and brown sugar along with the standard taste of citrus (Orange?) and a spiciness almost like clove. Color is a muddy, rusty brown, with good sized chunks floating around. Nicely carbonated and the mouth feel was just about perfect. The initial flavor was a little tart and a bit salty. An excellent finish in both flavor (bitter) and feel (dry).
