The head is leaving nice lacing along the inside of the glass. Aroma is citrus, floral hops, and caramel. Flavor is hops, pine, caramel, and grapefruit. A decent IPA but certainly have had better ones. mgmike4 (29), valencia, California, USA

Amazing...great floral and citrus aromas. flavor was perfectly balanced. palate was clean and light in bitterness. def. distinguished itself from the rest...recommended. nolankowal (854), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 27, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Dubbercody, many thanks again Jaime! THis one pours a hazy yellowed orange with a very light tan head that dissapates to film rather quickly. Large amount of caramel in the aroma, sourdough bread, rasin, with some very faint piney hops...I was certainly thinking IIPA or barley wine when I smelled this one. The flavor also holds a good amount of caramel malt and rasin with the hops coming through a bit better...a bit of grapefruit and a bit of pine. Sweet and sticky in the front with a sugary yet smooth body in the middle finishing off bittersweet and chewy. Seriously feels more like a IIPA, it’s definetly drinkable and has some awesome flavors going on, but it’s not as drinkable and crisp like most regular IPAs are. Would love to have some of this around when the seasons change casue the body on this one is pretty big and warming. Not date on the bottle or cap, for all I know this could’ve been aged a year or two already...and if it has been the end result is pretty damn nice. PHXHOPLOVER (50), LAVEEN, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 24, 2006 First taste assaulted my tongue. (first drink of the night.) The second sip made me fall in love. Very bitter, which is well balanced by the sweetness of the body. I normally dont like ipa’s this bitter or this sweet, but this works. The hop aroma and flavor are awesome, very citrussy and resinous, and evident. Very good!! decaturstevo (2007), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 11, 2006 A light amber pour with a creamy head that disapates quickly without much lacing. A nice rich sweet malt and hops aroma. I couldn’t put my finger on exactly what hops it was. An excellent hops bitter that stays with you. A really good beer. BTW I told the wife to pull me an amber ale from the refrigerator for a blind rating. When she brought me this baby and i was expecting an amber WOW what an eye opener. | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 11, 2006 A new favorite. Pours an amber honey color with a medium sized creamy froth. Aroma has a fine balance of malt and generous hops to create a bouquet of bright citrus. Full nectar with mellow residual effers. The flavors revolve around the usual IPA description of citrus rind and malted caramel. What sets this one apart is the balance. All components are perfectly integrated to create a brew to remember. Not too citrusy, not too malty, not too sweet, and the effers are finely tuned. I highly recommend this brew. waolsen (1223), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2006 bottle. orange/brown pour with thick creamy head. A lot of sediment. Nice hops malts and fruit in the aroma. Real nice body. Hops and fruit very well balanced and finished perfectly with a lasting bitter taste. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 31, 2006 12oz bottle via trade with cbkschubert! - Thanks Craig! - Pours amber with a fair offwhite head that stays pretty well and laces some and some definite floaters. Aromas of caramel malts, some tangerine notes, and even a little peach. Flavor is nice sweet caramel blended with some tangerine, and even a bit of grapefruit. Good balance and a nice well carbonated body. Pretty drinkable and not a bad IPA.
