Aroma of caramel, sweet malts, floral with some orange. Flavor along the same lines with some grapefruit and a nice hop bitterness coming through. Very well done and balanced IPA. mattd017 (51), Jacksonville, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 19, 2006 The pour is golden orange with hues of brown and alot of visible yeast. The aroma is that of grapefruit, lime, and qaulity brewers yeasts, cereal, grain, and malt. What a fine IPA, but the flavor is so overwhelming that I kind of don’t like it. Very strong IPA taste that I recall. This was served somewhat warm and everything aside from the taste appeased me needs. I will buy this again and serve it colder. A fantastice beer. Thank you lost coast! sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

This bottles not livin up to the hype. its got an ok cereal hops of spiked citrus aroma. quite cherry brown with floaties up to a small beige tuft head. hops a bit cardboard tasting and a lot of grain(y) alcohol flavor. tart, litely bitter. maybe it only is above average super fresh, I doubt I’ll buy this from a store again. peter (385), Dallas, Texas, USA

Very fresh hoppiness. This is completely opposed to the nose which is sweet like candy and turbando. duneman (3), California, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2006 12 oz bottle. Poors with light yellowish head. The smell is somewhat benign, given the intense taste The taste is that of bitter hops, and in that it does a very good job at assaulting the bitter fans ( which is why it gets a 5 for pallet). However, it is definitly one-dimensional. chef201atc (249), Weatherford, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2006 Carmel color with tan head that faded to a scant covering. Nose blew me away – sweet! It smelled like a barley wine and had to be the least hoppy IPA I’ve every smelled. Felt light and smooth with active carbonation. The flavor was about has far away from the smell as it could get, nowhere near as sweet as the nose but still not hoppy enough for me. Not a bad beer but I’ve had far better IPA’s
