Body-dark honey with a moderate head and thick ring of bubbles. Sticky looking. Taste-much less sweet than the nose suggests. Moderate bitterness, medium PNW hops, corn flakes, woody, light tannins. mojoman (44), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Very well balanced. My fave Lost Coast beer I’ve had the pleasure of trying thus far. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2006 Orange color with sediment suspended all thoughout. Thin off white head. Nice grapefruit and slightly malty aroma. The taste is full. Not the least bit watery. Wonderful grapefruit punch from the hops as well as some malty sweetness mixed with a tad of yeast-bread flavor. The finish is both bitter and a bit sour. Good tasty IPA. Yum. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2006 12 oz bottle - Pours cloudy brownish orange with an off white head that dissappears quick. Aroma has lots of grapefruit hops and bits of floral hops sneaking into the mix. Medium to full bodied IPA with semi-soft carbonation. Taste has lots of grapefruit hop flavor with some grassiness and pine blended in. A sturdy malt is there to balance things out and give it a nice body. A resiny feel is left in the mouth. A very good IPA. FridgRaider (108), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2006 The first IPA that I liked. Nice amber color when poured. Citrus type nose. eaglefan538 (2399), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 5, 2006 A very drinkable IPA, but they just don’t impress me. This one poured a nice cloudy amber color with a nice head. The lacing was very nice. The aroma was somewhat citrus like and piney. The flavor was similar with some light grapefruits also coming through. Drinkability was great, as this was one of the more sessionable IPA’s (if there were such a thing) that I’ve ever had. Nice and smooth and not extremely offensive. casper78 (21), bakersfield, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 29, 2006 Bottle 12oz. Pours a deep honey color, with lite brown head. The aroma is very sweet and hoppy. Love the taste of this IPA, the malted hops go down smooth. Not a big fan of lost coast brewery but I think this IPA might have changed my mind. loseratheart (110), USA

Goes down smooth with enjoyable palate. Some hints of citrus flavors. Aroma is that of caramel and hops. Very well balanced.
