Also a buttload of floaties. Aroma of big grapefruit and floral hops, a little bit of caramel malt in the background. Lotsa hops in taste, spicy hops, caramel malts and a small bitter finish. Not terribly complex, but a good IPA MrWalker (927), Stockholm, Sweden

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2006 Amber beer with a small white head, and yeast sediment and floaties from the bottle conditioning. Light hop aroma. Flavor is the best part with plenty of hop character throughout, and decent malt backing that’s not too sweet. Spicy, piney hop flavor in a full, thick palate. A lasting bitterness on the end complements the full flavor. A very well done and enjoyable IPA. Price was also decent at $8.49 for a six pack at Broudy’s, Orange Park FL. cbkschubert (2015), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Medium body. I was a little disappointed with this beer. DrnkMcDermott (1861), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

My last Lost Coast beer was rank, but I suspect they’re not pasteurized, so I’m taking this chance to try another. Pours a cloudy brown with ragged foam clinging to the sides (and to the bottle, too). Nice pine/citrus smell. Taste has a chewy malt that stands up to the bash of hops. I don’t quite find the hops as extreme as other pale ales, but it’s excellent nonetheless. drshoebocks (5), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 25, 2006 I love an IPA that settles down to a tea like flavor. After this got a bit of air and my palate adjusted to the rather strong hops, this beer was truely excellent. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA
