| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 19, 2006 Hazy dark amber-orange with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is some grapefruit and some sweet malts. Flavor is well-balanced with a solid amount of hop bitterness as well as a caramel malt flavor. Medium bodied with a long bitter finish. This is a good IPA; definitely above average. Nejhleader (929), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 14, 2006 Hazy golden color with a thick white head that diminishes with drinking. Taste is very balanced compared to some IPAs. Definitely not one note, hops are definitely present but subdued by generous malts. Very nice beer, but not necessarily what you want if you’re looking for a hopbomb. Also a fair amount of sediment, so be careful pouring if you don’t want it in the beer. Starts with strong Pacific NW hops, but with an undercurrent of other hop profiles -- more mellow, and fruity, apricots and peaches. Not overly malty like some suggest. Thanks to G. Spellman for bringing me a sixer down to Panama. Since I haven’t had any of my other favorites for several months, it is hard to compare...but this has got to be a top 10% beer. smcd (366), USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2006 Hazy, orange. Big, off-white head. Lacks very much discernible hop aroma. Hops are definitely present on the palate but are very restrained. Malt definitely overpowers hops. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2006 Cloudy copper colored with a small white head. Very pleasant nose--quite sweet with pine and apricot. Good, rounded mouthfeel. Quite bitter, but there’s a sweet malt backbone to hold that up. Lovely touches of orange and apricots; A winner.
