Definitely better as it warmed. Nice finish. Good IPA. tattooscott (6), shepherdstown, West Virginia, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 1, 2005 I didn’t find this as good as eveyone said it was, par for course I suppose. full bodied, and hoppy but lacked a finish I was hop(p)ing for. Don’t get me wrong tho...a very good beer by any standards, but I have my doubts about its astronomical rating. tomxcs (315), Golden, Colorado, USA

I picked up a dusty six pack that had been sitting in my hometown’s best liquor store for what had to be over two years. At this point, it’s much more like a very mild barleywine. The aroma is quite mild at this point but still very citrusy; hops are rather mellow but have retained a great grapefruit character and lots of resinous bitterness. Body is somewhat dry but full and malty. Pretty sweet. This beer has so many hops that it’s putting me to sleep. This is one very tasty IPA which aged well and, I can imagine, is ever better and shockingly good and hoppy when young. Likeburning (149), Franklin, Tennessee, USA

Acquired from our local high-brow grocery store, it is one of the sweetest beers I have ever had. Sweet smooth, and memorable. Firemoose15 (542), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA

Pour was a nice hazen orange glow with a white head. Flavor was good as advertised with just a tinge of sweet malts before one last bite. Overall, this was quite tasty. Sweet juicy, citrusy aroma, sweet biscuity and cookie dough malts as well. Flavour starts with sweet biscuity malts, some light tropical character, grapefruity citrus, light resin toward the finish. Clean bitterness. Aroma becomes ever more malty and tropical as it warms. Seriously tasty IPA. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

The aroma is citrus, apricots and some bicuity malt. The flavor is grapefruit heavy, some tangerine, grass and pine. Some caramel and biscuit. The finish is long, bitter and very dry. Medium body, chewy texture. Very refreshing. zach8270 (2137), Henrietta, New York, USA

Subtle aroma of hops, citrus, caramel and some pine. Very hoppy and floral taste at the beginning with a slightly sweet and caramelly middle and a nice and crisp bitter hop finish. A little thin and a little harsh on the tongue, but decent otherwise.
