Dark and cloudy, with lots of little floaties. Aroma of hops greet you. The sweet malt character is striking in such a bitter, hoppy brew. Very enjoyable. fuchebu (146), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

From the readings I done, IPA’s should be darker than most IPA’s on the market. Kilning techniques were not so good in the old days. I loved the rich head and beautiful lace. The extreme hoppiness is well balanced with the malt. Good mouth feel. This is a wonderful example of an IPA. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Oct 25, 2003 One of the best balanced IPA's I've ever had. 22 oz. brown bomber bottle. Aug '03 bottling date. Poured out a murky, cloudy brown color, with a tan head. It has green highlights in the head from the massive amounts of hops used in brewing this delicious brew. Fresh, floral hops scent, with a spicy, resinous note to it as well.
Strong malt backbone stands up well to the hops. A really well made, and well thought out beer. Finishes clean & crisp, with spicy
hops burps to boot. A great beer overall. I highly recommend it. GreatLibations (1447), Last Supper, Arizona, USA

Aroma has a fine balance of malt and generous hops to create a bouquet of bright citrus. Full nectar with mellow residual effers. The flavors revolve around the usual IPA description of citrus rind and malted caramel. What sets this one apart is the balance. All components are perfectly integrated to create a brew to remember. Not too citrusy, not too malty, not too sweet, and the effers are finely tuned. I highly recommend this brew. groovinhigh (170), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

Extremely hoppy, possibly the hoppiest beer I’ve ever had, though it is a well balanced beer. Bottle conditioned, so pouring the beer is tricky. BUT IF YOU LOVE THA HOPS... FIND SOME OF THIS AND ENJOY. Great beer... chronictonic (403), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA

Medium red brown color, darker than most IPAs. Very piney hop aroma. Extremely hoppy flavor, both in pure bitter and in wonderful citrus/pine finish. Well balanced with a big malt body. Out of all my notes on beers, this ranks as #2 amongst IPAs (2nd only to Terminal Gravity IPA) joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA
