Commercial Description:
This highly hopped California style Pale Ale showcases the brewer's art of balancing malt and hop characteristics. A generous addition of Munich malts balances the bittering from Chinook hops, and Cascade hops round out the flavor profile.

Pours a slightly hazy orange/brown with good beige head. Lots of caramel malt in the aroma with some dry hop apparent as well. Flavor also moderate on caramel malt and piney hop flavor from Chinook. Good balance between the malt and hops. I liked this one quite a bit.

Deep amber under a small beige head. The aroma was orange zest and malt and pine/grapefruit hops. Medium body with moderate carbonation and thin texture. Flavor was mostly hops but not in a very appealing way.

Hazy pale peach color with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavor starts friuty (apricot, mango) turning lightly spicy and finishing with a long dry orange rind bitterness. Light smooth palate.

Bottled December 2004. A mild aroma of hops to be sniffed out and a small chance of caramel malt lurking there as well. Shines a beautiful gold with a thin sizing of head across the glass. Very impressing flavor for a pale ale and this is exactly how i like the style to be formated in. Hops, hops and some additional hops that leave a slight citrus and metallic taste is what the flavor basically breaks own to. Intensly bitter and has a weak caramel malt background in the finish. Would like to try this beer on tap someday.

Yellow gold with filmy white head. Cascade type citrusy hop aromatics. Mellow slightly caramelly malt characteristics balanced with a resinous bitterness and citrusy hop flavors. Mouthfeel is medium slight, and somewhat sticky.

I do like it, don’t get me wrong. And I appreciated the hops. However, this beer was sadly a bit bland. That didn’t stop me from drinking all 22oz, however.

Poured a hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt, sweet fruit, and a touch of paper. I think I might have waited too long to open this one. Flavor matches the aroma. Sweet and fruity with a touch of honey and sugar. I bet this would be nice with some hops in there.
