Commercial Description:
This highly hopped California style Pale Ale showcases the brewer's art of balancing malt and hop characteristics. A generous addition of Munich malts balances the bittering from Chinook hops, and Cascade hops round out the flavor profile.

Need to try again. My first sampling came soon after drinking a SUPER hopped up Imperial IPA and may have clouded my jedgement. Seemed nicely balanced.

22 oz. bottle from Mr. Liquor. Decent head on a orange/yellow pour. Typical hoppy/citrus aromas with a hint of sugar candy. Classic APA hoppiness with a great finish. Nice Beer.

Pours dark straw with medium off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, fruit. Tastes very hoppy, with a firm malt backbone, and some fruit. Decent balance and good complexity. Finishes more like an IPA than an APA.

22 oz bottle: pours a deep golden straw color. slightly hazy with a big fluffy head. big balanced carmel and citrus aroma. the flavors is on the malty side with nice carmel flavors balanced by citrusy hops. hints of bubble gum in the long malty finish. good for a sesion beer.

Bottle. Pours a light copper color, pillowy white head, a bit hazy, good lacing on my glass. Poofy head masks the aroma a bit, but mostly a hoppy, mostly pine aroma. Bitter flavor, decent malt character, and hops round out the finish, and a bit of the bottle conditioning yeast at the end. Fairly light bodied for a pale ale, but very smooth, carbonation is a bit on the low side. This has a lot of IPA character in it, not quite as sweet as a good IPA, but hoppier than most pale ales that I’ve had. Pretty good overall.

The beer dispenses from the 22-ounce brown bottle a slightly hazy deep cooper color with a Bunyanesque light tan head that is creamy in texture, after it slowly eroded the lace left behind formed a tight skirt upon the glass. Nose has hints of cotton candy, malt and a touch of the hop flowers; quite a nice sniff with the start somewhat sweet and the malt plentiful, top is fair to middling in its feel to the palate. Finish is sturdy in its acidity, the hops delectable in their spiciness, very dry and long lasting aftertaste, a nice drinking Pale Ale, and another fine beer from an excellent brewery.

22 oz bottle. Rich amber color with a large beige head. Nice mellow malty aroma, sweet, smooth flavor with some floral hop notes. Medium body and easy carbonation. Pleasant beer and definitely a good ’session’ candidate.

Tasty beer. Not as hoppy as I’d expected from an American Pale Ale. Good flavor, though. It’d get boring if I drank it every day, but it’s good.
