Commercial Description:
This highly hopped California style Pale Ale showcases the brewer's art of balancing malt and hop characteristics. A generous addition of Munich malts balances the bittering from Chinook hops, and Cascade hops round out the flavor profile.

Poured a hazy color almost that of a wheat beer. Nice looking white head that stayed aroud the whole beer with some minor lacing. I could smell some hops as I opened the bottle and was hoping for Aplha King or Rogue type taste. Once in the glass there was less notible hops. The initial taste caught me by suprise, weird sweet taste that I wasn’t expecting. Bland follow up with very little hoppiness. This is a decent beer and would have gotten a better rating from me before I had had Dreadnaught, Dogfish Head or Rouge. Decent beer and a little cheaper than the other beers in this category.

(22 oz bottle, $3) This is a pretty light flavored pale ale all around. The flavor and nose can be similiarly described: mildly hoppy, lightly malty, somewhat sweet, with the balance more toward the hops end, but not by much. This beer stays fairly consistent from start to finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, somewhat crisp and clean from the hops, and well carbonated. Orange, light amber in color. Pours a good size, whitish head that gradually settles to a thin layer, leaving a fairly dense curtain of lace behind. Not a bad beer, many will like it a lot, but it’s just not my style of pale ale. It needs more flavor to make me happy.

Light amber color with a smaller beige head. Aromas of light malt and orange peels. Initial malt sweetness invaded by mild citrus. Some light tropical fruit. Nothing hits me and says look at me, but quite drinkable.

Not a bad pale. Excellently bitter. I love it that these guys bottle condition their beers. Exceedingly pale paper thin yellow. Nose is almost nonexistent. A good swirl releases the aromas. Not a whole lot going on, very dry smelling. Hoppy and carbonated. Both burn my nostrils. Exceedingly bitter. A hidden sweetnes prevails yet is overcome by the ubgodly proportions of bitterness. Notes of swiis cheese and unripened mango.G-rat

22 oz bomber bottle-pours a light orange hue with nice white head with good lacing. Citrus hop aroma-grapefruit, oranges and tangy notes. Flavors are pretty tame, but they are not bad. Short finish. pretty average pale other than the appearance.
