Citrus hop aroma-grapefruit, oranges and tangy notes. Flavors are pretty tame, but they are not bad. Short finish. pretty average pale other than the appearance. cherr (162), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 16, 2004 I got this beer at Trader Joe’s in Indianapolis, IN. The smell is of stale malt. The color is yellow and a bit cloudy. The taste is like a heavy budweiser. Mild hop bitterness. Not near hoppy enough for my taste. Weak PA. Try their IPA if you have a choice, it’s one of the best around. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2004 Clear, golden body with a thin, white head. Slightly hoppy aroma with a sweet, malt backbone. Sweet caramel, toffee, whole grains, whole flowers, perfume, slightly citric and the smallest amount of pine. The body is slightly thin to adequate. The flavors are just right for a nice session beer. The malt and hops play off each other just right to make for a nice American session . Tasty but not amazing. jah noth (1020), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 30, 2004 Tangy floral hop aroma, deep clear golden at first, cloudy with the dregs at the bottom. Very soft mouthfeel. Crisp, not over the top, hop flavor, orangey sweet, with a quick finish. This is a nice, I’ll drink it all day kind of beer. Ratings are far too low IMHO. iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 6, 2004 22 oz bottle: Clear orange gold. Rocky foam offers sweet sugary pine, fresh grass and soaked hop flowers. Very soft palate, like sucking on a soft juicy orange. Flavours are very light with a slight hop twinge and a good malt presence. A slight bit of pine in the finish. Average and run of the mill. . . Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2004 Has a slight hop scent. Pours a bronze with white head. Very little carbonation. Tastes slightly hoppy but kind of watered down. Not much going on here. A pretty disappointing below-average pale ale. Zach Diesel (907), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 19, 2003 Found a 22oz bottle at City Beverage in Winston-Salem. Pours a light amber-gold color with a medium thin off-white head. Very little lacing. The aroma is nicely hopped with a hint of citrus. Medium body with a nice hops flavor initially, but it runs out of gas toward the end. The finish is moderately bitter hops with some fruit as well. Overall this is an APA that is drinkable and above average, yet indistinguishable from hundreds of other drinkable and above average APAs.
