Commercial Description:
This highly hopped California style Pale Ale showcases the brewer's art of balancing malt and hop characteristics. A generous addition of Munich malts balances the bittering from Chinook hops, and Cascade hops round out the flavor profile.

Who shared this one? Was it brewfiend? JK? badgerben? From a 22-oz bottle pours a hazy orange/amber brew with a heavy off-white head. Good retention. Aroma of piney hops, toffee, some caramel and granny smith sour apples. Taste is medium body, and some carbonation. Finish has a sweet bitter and dry aftertaste.

Tangy floral hop aroma, deep clear golden at first, cloudy with the dregs at the bottom. Very soft mouthfeel. Crisp, not over the top, hop flavor, orangey sweet, with a quick finish.

I think JK provided this taster. Or not. I can’t remember after that much booze in one night. Thanks to whoever brought it. In any event, this one was a cloudy pale yellow pour with a smooth, light hop body.

22oz bomber, from last August. Barely any head, but some good carbonation. Hazy dark yellow appearance. Not much of an aroma at all, just a slight nose of syrupy sugars and hops. Refreshing flavor, sweet light malts at first that finishes quite crisp with bitter hops, but pretty weak overall. I realize its a pale ale, but hops could have been more prevalent, and the flavor doesnt linger by any means. Tingly carbonation on the palate. A standard pale ale that will quench your thirst, but dont get your hopes up.

On tap at the brewery - September 2006: Nice golden color, huge head that leaves nice laces on the glass. Nice fruity nose. Medium hoppy full mouth finsih.

On tap at brewery: Fresh blended hop nose, pale copper color, creamy head. Light pale malt body, then a sharp tight hop end on the roof of the mouth. Decent pale ale. Needs more body though.

Nice aroma of hop and a bit of yeast. Hazy orangy gold color with a little white head. Starts with carbonation, medium mouthfeel that quickly thins, light malt and then balancing hop. The malt lingers into the finish, but the hop eventually stands pretty much alone. Not overly strong in any particular flavor, but attractive flavors.

Sampled in Eureka. Not their best brew but not bad. A little weak in flavor and needs some extra hops. Goes down very smooth and has a light pale appearance. Try others before this one.
