This is a decent and drinkable APA but comes across as a bit sweet for my tastes. Nothing special. oldno7 (137), Spokane, Washington, USA

Had a very nice hoppy aroma. Flavor was excellent, well balanced, and had a nice crisp finish. Mostly tasted of HOPS and some malt. One of my favorite APA’s. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2005 The body is a medium cloudy orange. The head is slightly yellowish. Teh aroma is bready with oranges. There is also a present piney resin that is pleasant and certainly not overpowering. The taste is full of orange peel and some sweet bread. The taste also has some background of pine freshness. I like this combination. It is a well balanced APA. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

Citrus/pine tiptoeing ever so gracefully over the sweet maltiness just beneath. Very very refreshing. tomhenderson (127), Carolinas area, USA

Slight lacing on the way down. Not overly anything; in other words, it’s well balanced between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. I don’t distinctly pick up any particular hop flavor. Overall, this is a decent APA but it wouldn’t be confused for an IPA or I2PA. (In reading some of the comments below, I wonder if maybe that’s what they expect!) | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 5, 2005 This is one of those well balanced APA’s that it’s a sheer pleasure to drink. Pouring an apricot color with a decent off-white head, it’s got a nice citric/floral hop aroma, barely covering the caramel malt sweetness. The taste is well balanced between the two with the addition of light tropical fruits to make it more interesting. The finish tilts slightly to the hop side, leaving you with a soft, lingering bitter finish. Good, good.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 24, 2005 Pours a slightly hazy orange/brown with good beige head. Lots of caramel malt in the aroma with some dry hop apparent as well. Flavor also moderate on caramel malt and piney hop flavor from Chinook. Good balance between the malt and hops. I liked this one quite a bit.
