Commercial Description:
This highly hopped California style Pale Ale showcases the brewer's art of balancing malt and hop characteristics. A generous addition of Munich malts balances the bittering from Chinook hops, and Cascade hops round out the flavor profile.

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: OK hops but not much else is in this one. Lacks balance

This is one of those well balanced APA’s that it’s a sheer pleasure to drink. Pouring an apricot color with a decent off-white head, it’s got a nice citric/floral hop aroma, barely covering the caramel malt sweetness. The taste is well balanced between the two with the addition of light tropical fruits to make it more interesting. The finish tilts slightly to the hop side, leaving you with a soft, lingering bitter finish. Good, good.

Light amber color with a smaller beige head. Aromas of light malt and orange peels. Initial malt sweetness invaded by mild citrus. Some light tropical fruit. Nothing hits me and says look at me, but quite drinkable.

Bomber bottle. Poured hazy amber with a moderate frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Light sweet citrus hoppy aroma. Light to medium body with a watery texture. Light sweet flavor with a small bitter finsh of average duration.

Pours dark straw with medium off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, fruit. Tastes very hoppy, with a firm malt backbone, and some fruit. Decent balance and good complexity. Finishes more like an IPA than an APA.

Pale golden ale with a thin white head. Light C-hops in aroma, and light citrussy notes, not too big. In mouth, sharp hops attacks with the citrus/grapefruit, but this is really thin in body, and the flavours dissipate quickly. Dissapointed by this. Bieropholie order.
