The flavor comes in waves, as if each flavor had a different density. Chocolate came first, then raspberry. unfortunately, as the beer warms it gets icky tasting. If you want to enjoy this, drink it fast and very cold. ratman197 (3256), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Bomber poured a clear brown with a minimal lingering tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, raspberry, carmel and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, carmel and light raspberry with a smooth semisweet finish. Smells a lot better than it tastes, but still a decent beer. JFURYCAT (792), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2007 I like the aroma better than the beer. The aroma shoots off a dark floral raspberry quotient but the taste is a bit watery and the elements don’t seem to meld well. On tap at River St. Ale House. Tmoney99 (4791), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 22, 2007 Bottle from Belmont Beverage in Fort Wayne, IN. Poured clear reddish brown with a large off-white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Good raspberry friut and nutty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium sweet flavor with medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This beer met my expectations. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Pours a deep maroon with a small off white head. Smells of some raspberry mixed with some malts and a little nuts. The taste is mild raspberry, it is there, not sweet but more like the skins of raspberries. A little bit reminiscent of a brwon ale, but its covered up by that raspberry flavor. Not something I’d like to sip on alot, just a couple sips to get the flavor. Ok, for a few sips. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2007 Bottle. Reddish brown colour with a nice little head. Light aroma of raspberry and hints of malt. Also flavour of raspberry, malt, little chocolate. Very easy to drink and not so sweet than your may expect. Not bad at all. smashteroid (251), USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2007 Served cold from bottle. I was expecting more from this beer. It was listed on the menu as a dark beer, but its classification here as such is much more accurate. Had I known, I probably would not have ordered it. Nevertheless, it was a lighter than normal brown beer with a thin head. Aroma is to be expected from its name. Taste is crisp and sweet. Raspberry flavor is obvious. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jun 10, 2007 I can definitely taste raspberries, but that’s about it. Not a huge fan of this. I guess at 5% I might have expected a little more flavor out of this. Not awful, but not great. I imagine this is something the gals would like a whole lot more than I do.
