Clear, dark ruby ale with a small, frothy, lightly tanned head. The aroma is of raspberry puree or syrup with most of the brown ale characteristics taking a back seat. The malts really assert themselves in the flavor while silencing the raspberry notes. Lots of chocolate and caramel maltiness. Good bitterness and roastiness with just a hint of acidity. Medium to full-bodied and milky with lively carbonation. Lengthy, crisp, lightly bitter finish. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Dark with red tint around the edges of the glass. the smell was of raspberry, but it didnt totally over power the beer smell. The taste was nice but a little to bland for my taste. ohnoitskristin (62), Santa Cruz, California, USA
