| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2009 22 oz. bottle from Ludlow Wines. Pours brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma of raspberry, nuts, malt, hops, brown sugar. Raspberry is stronger in the flavor than on the nose; also flavor of nuts, malts, caramel. The brown ale side of this feels like it’s missing something. Tart raspberry leads the flavor but doesn’t neutralize everything else. Sweet and smooth, light-medium bodied. Tart finish. A little weak for a brown ale but very good for a fruit beer. SSSteve (2096), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 23, 2009 22oz bottle. dark brown under a medium size beige head. huge tart raspberry aroma that dominates almost everything. a heck of a lot of raspberry in the flavor. i can taste the faint brown ale back there but not enough to accurately describe it behind the dominate fruit. the fruit is good and natural. and that’s it. drowland (1429), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Big fresh raspberry aroma with both tart and sweet present and a hint of nutty bread in the background. The flavor is fresh raspberry but not as tart and the malt adds big chocolate and nutty aspects as well. On the exhale the hops come through as well, a nice flavor but not too bitter. ghawener (964), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 28, 2009 Bottle: Disappointing. Neither Brown nor Fruit in this Ale. Light but dark colored. Have had much better brews from Lost Coast. Food Pairing; definitely something fruity and refreshing, a mousse of light pastry. dimenhetfield (205), , Florida, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2009 22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark amber with a light orange glare and a huge off-white head. Aroma is distinct raspberry and dark roasted malt. Nice mix of liqourice like flavours and raspberry with a smooth roasted malt base. Bitter and slight acidic. Mild acidic finish. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Excellent flavor of raspberries and roasted flavors of sunflower seeds and nuts, salt, and some caramel barley. Great infusion of fruits with the smoothness of the richer ale characteristics. Very good beer, and something a bit different that the fruity wheat beers you see all the time.
