Bottle poured a dark brown with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is light roast and raspberry. Flavor is roast, chocolate with raspberrys in the back. Almost like a very light bodied porter.

Armoa and flavor of raspberry fruit. Dark body but if held to light has a ruby tint to it. Off white head. Was rich and smooth on the palate. A good fruit beer.

Undercarbonated. Pretty nice aroma - berry and malt with a little cocoa. Clear, medium-dark brown beer with a clingy, light tan head. Bad label. Toasty, a little coffee tartness, pistachio tones. Some off notes as well - potato/squash - the raspberry actually presents a sort of vegetable quality up front. Session weight. It was initially very disappointing, but it kind of grew on me towards the bottom of the bomber. Didn’t do well in a back-to-back with Rogue Chipotle - it certainly didn’t seem as complex or well-crafted.

Deep brown pour with medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, big raspberries. Tastes raspberryish, with a solid caramel malt presence. Medium palate and not super complex, but very refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with hint of ruby when put up to light.. Sweet roasty, nutty raspberry aroma. Roasted coffee flavor with hints of raspberry. Tastes like a fruit porter of sorts. Quite good as far as fruit beers go.

22 oz bottle-bottled in jan 05-pours a deep ruby hue with a small beige head. chocolate covered raspberries waff from my glass in a very nice manner. some roasty nuts going on as well in the aroma (that sounded disgusting!). Ok, this is what i was expecting NB raspberry to be like. Flavors have 3 equal components-raspberry, nutty goodness and chocolate. The fruit flavors never overpower the taste and well balanced with malts. Medium body with average carbonation. A very tasty treat that works well as a dessert beer!

The beer disinters the 22-ounce brown bottle a deep incarnadine color with a planetary sized frothy tan head that after its disintegration leaves a fine film to cover the glass. Nose is sweet raspberry with light hints of chocolate and caramel, fresh and crisp, a fine smelling beer to be sure, start is lightly sweet with a fair to middling malt presence, the top light to medium in feel. Finish is prickly in its acidity with the hops lenient in their spiciness, very dry aftertaste that lingers long on the palate, a drinkable beer, but not something I would drink very often.

Aroma is notably raspberry dominated. Background of a strong brown malt with a touch of roastiness. Deep brown pour under a creamy pinkish head. Flavor is malty, but overcome by raspberries. Tastes a bit artificial, as fruit beers are want to do. Good overall, though.
