A striking raspberry aroma with light chocolate notes. In mouth, roasted malt with an astringent raspberry pulp, very oily. Medium bodied. Bieropholie import. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Pour is a brown with a little red to it and a nice big tan head. Aroma is deffinatly raspberries. Big and fresh but not much else. Flavor is first the raspberry and then you get a slight chocolate on the tounge after the swallow. Kind of an odd beer and something i wanted to hate before I had it but it turned out to be ok. Now why they put this in a 22oz is beyond me. About 12oz is all you can handle of this. 17thfloor (1511), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Pours a thin dark brown with larger carbonation bubbles and a nice thick fluffy beige head. Fresh raspberry and malty aroma with a hint of creamy chocolate. Flavor of raspberries, crystal malt and very tiny bit of chocolate. Thin body with almost lively carbonation. Not much different than Great Divides offering, except without the bitterness. Off-dry finish. Again... I want a full-bodied raspberry brown... not some thin fruit beer. Although, this is very drinkable. littlecarp (128), Redding, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Nice brown pour w/ tan foamy head that was thick like whipped cream. slight dish-rag smell. Opening with a very fruity flavor but develops into a flavored chocolate taste. Thin bodied with light carbonation. Excellent desert beer after a meal, but not at all complex. chicagodri (1074), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours a reddish brown with an off white head. Nice big raspberry aroma. This beer has a lot more raspberry flavor than a lot of other raspberry beers I have had. Some nice chocolate flavors in there as well. Somewhat thin and watery, but overall enjoyable. markwise (1200), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2008 22 oz. bottle, pours opaque brown with an aroma of nice caramel and malt. The flavor and mouthfeel are both a little more watery than I generally care for. Not a lot of carbonation, the off-white head was barely noticeable even in an aggressive pour. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2008 [1236-20080330] Bottle. Raspberry seeds and mild egg malt aroma. Clear, dark brown red body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Mild bitter roast malt flavour. Medium-full body. Quite nice and drinkable if you’re into chocolate-covered raspberries, but this would be even better if it were stoutier, rather than being medium stouty and muddled. Oakes (8166), Kowloon, Hong Kong
