Lively raspeberrys on the nose with some chocolate and a slight roastiness too. Again quite similar on the palate, raspberries, chocolate and just a touch of roastiness. A very interesting beer as I’m not usually a big fan of fruit beers, but I found this to be quite enjoyable and drinkable. elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 14, 2009 12/12/09 notes: Pours reddish-light brown with a wispy head. Poor lacing. Aroma has chocolate, wood, and raspberry syrup, a rather mellow berry infused nose. Flavor initially is watery with a strange soil-minerally note. Through the middle the light raspberry flavor creeps in, still not a favorable blend. Finish has more redeeming qualities, mostly by way of the milk chocolate and faint toastiness that gives more roundness to the flavors. Overall unfortunately, this beer shows little character, and the opening flavors border on offensive. v8powered (66), , Nevada, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Very good flavor in the beginning with sweet ripe raspberries and a chocolate brown finish. Light hoppiness. Great flavor at the beginning but the flavor goes away quick leaving you with a watery finish. Would be a good refreshing beer in the summer. Good flavor, just wish it stuck around a little longer. zach8270 (2131), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 12, 2009 (bottle - 22 oz) Clear reddish brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma is light chocolate malt at the beginning with a very light hint of raspberries and some mild vegetable notes. Flavor begins with a sweet and tart raspberry flavor that gives in to a very dry and grassy malt middle. Some very mild hops come in as the raspberry disappears and leaves a bitter and very dry finish. Watery and thin. Lagunitasfan (475), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Dec 10, 2009 22 oz bottle from Neal at Jason’s poker night. Soda red-brown with no head. Nose is sweet malty and artificial raspberry flavoring, I assume. Borderline wine cooler sweet. Taste is flat and thin. Bitterness and hazy fruit flavors. Pretty bad. Yep, upon further reflection, pretty bad it is. fidel (1011), Livermore, California, USA
