Alright beer, can definitly taste the winter in it....The flavor is crisp, and the aroma is kinda sweet. I kinda wanted more though!

12 oz. bottle pour. Thin ivory colored head. Nutty, malty aroma with thin body, nutty chocolate palate and bitter coffee finish. Not difficult to drink, but not as complex or hearty as I had hoped.

Black with good, creamy tan head / Malty, roast coffee and chocolate nose / Medium body with good malt and somewhat thin, bitter finish / Simple flavors of toffee, roast coffee, bittersweet chocolate / Good, although somewhat ungainly

The nose opens up immediately with a nice hoppiness. The beer has a sweetness and a bit of earthiness to go along with chocolate and a bit of alcohol to go along with it.

12 oz. bottle. Clear brown pour with a spare off white head. Caramel aroma with some roasted notes. Medium body and carbonation, fairly smooth, with a very slight stickiness. Starts off with a malty sweetness, but there is a healthy dose of spicy bitterness that brings on a softly dry finish. Easily quaffable, an enjoyable brown ale.

Aroma of dark roasted malt and perhaps some chocolate. Dark mahogany color with a tan head that just flattened. Near medium body with sharp, but mild, carbonation. The flavor is near toasted malt, with something like cola, and again, maybe, chocolate. The finish is roughly sweet, with some bitter to balance. The sweet goes, the bitter stays. Coffee seems to be present. Relatively smooth as brown ales often go.

Bottle from City Beer Store. Very dark brown color, couldn’t get much head even with an aggressive pour. Aroma of chocolate, wheat, roasted malt, similar taste with some strong coffee, more chocolate, caramel. Bitter finish, medium body.

12 oz bottle from Broudy’s in Jacksonville Beach. Pours a nice brown with a little head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt. Taste is dark and robust. An interesting brown ale - I think the brown in this beer is mud.
