Thanks to Skyview for sharing. A ruby beer so dark its almost black. Lacing clings to the edges. The beer has a sweet spicy nose with brown sugar and a faint hint of molasses. Cherry with sweet malt taste.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Main Street Market in Egg Harbor, WI. Shared with Brewfiend in Minnesota. This brew pours a dark ruby brown color with a light tan head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of spice, brown sugar, molasses, cocoa and some nuts. Taste is tangy, sweet and creamy. Finish reminded me a little cask conditioned beers. Very tasty!

A dark berry red brown colored ale with a fluffy light brown head that dissipates slowly. Clear and sparkling. Pine forest hops and dark wooden malt prevail in the aroma. It is soft and full bodied. It leaves the tounge slightly ragged. It has a solid, deep dark burnt and resinous flavor. Yes, it tastes like a forest fire.

I found this somewhat similar to the Downtown Brown in base flavor, but it had quite a bit more hop kick. It was also quite a bit heavier in the body, but still had roasty mocha malt flavor.

Pours a deep ruby with a rocky tan head, slight toasted malt aroma, thin mouth feel, almost fizzy, really detracts from this ale. Slight roasted nut flavor with a malty finish, starts out like your in for a big rush of flavor, but it never quite delivers it. leave a meaty after taste.

Pours closer to a porter dark color than brown.Lots of flavor here.Slight everything nothing dominant.True charachteristics.Caramel, nuts and spice.Bitterness at the end that lingers a bit.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Reminds me more of a porter. Has a lot of spice and hops compared to the downtown brown by this brewer. Very creamy with a great finish. Very impressed with this brewer.
