On tap at Toronado. This dark brown ale poured with a miniscule tan head. Tastes like Downtown Brown with spices. The mouthfeel is very carbonated and the brown ale base is quite tasty.

A gift from my boss. 12 oz bottle. Dark brown beer with light orange tints. Aroma is very toast, softly nutty, almonds, light chocolate, toast and a herbal aroma as well. Flavour is quite nice as well, showing toasted malt, chocolate/cocoa and soft caramel. A slight touch of roast. No fruit at all really, just lots of different toasted malts. Lingering chocolate adn herbal spice on the finish. Nice winter beer. Warming intensifies the herbal character.

This is a great beer. its amazing what a little talent and patience will do. its got a real dark feeling of caramel, with a mild nutty taste. first sip hits your tongue hard. Then dissipates with a rich bouquet of flavors

12 oz bottle Dark brown ale, very little head, small amount of lace. Aroma is slightly nutty but mainlly malty, slight spice. Sweet favour ,fruity malts, touch of coffee and a slight "tang" of hop. Ok on the palate, quite thin, but that is to style. Overall an average porter. I beleive this years is back to the Porter atyle of 02.03.

Very pleasing winter warmer, just as I like them. Nice ruby-garnet color with a 1 finger tan head. Aroma is lightly spicy and hoppy around a sweet alcohol component and touch of chocolate and caramel. The flavor is rounded but not overly sweet, with a dusty cocoa and spicy hop edge. Medium body and lightly bitter finish.

This was a good beer. The label was a bit odd for a "Serious" Winter beer, maybe they should take that stupid character of the bottle. Other than that this beer was full of flavor, a good drink.

I don’t think the label is racist. Dark reddish brown, huge head. Coffee, hazelnut aroma with a hint of chocolate fudge. Very bitter for the style, but an all malt flavor. Thin body. Chocolate, biscuit, toffee.
