| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 4, 2006 Very pleasing winter warmer, just as I like them. Nice ruby-garnet color with a 1 finger tan head. Aroma is lightly spicy and hoppy around a sweet alcohol component and touch of chocolate and caramel. The flavor is rounded but not overly sweet, with a dusty cocoa and spicy hop edge. Medium body and lightly bitter finish. brettpace (179), Northridge, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 3, 2006 This was a good beer. The label was a bit odd for a "Serious" Winter beer, maybe they should take that stupid character of the bottle. Other than that this beer was full of flavor, a good drink. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2006 I don’t think the label is racist. Dark reddish brown, huge head. Coffee, hazelnut aroma with a hint of chocolate fudge. Very bitter for the style, but an all malt flavor. Thin body. Chocolate, biscuit, toffee. nick76 (2692), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 1, 2006 Updated: May 26, 2007The aroma has coffee, chocolate, toasted malt, nuts and sugar. The appearance is dark brown with a reddish hue. The head is thin but persistent. The flavor is like the aroma with astringent bitterness not present in the aroma. The palate is super thin. I found this one to be disappointing in taste but I think the concept is amusing and the label just a little politically incorrect for a brown ale. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA

Malty, caramel flavor with some roast and backing bitterness. Thinner body than expected. Rasty spiciness lingers. Easy drinking. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Nov 27, 2006 Tap at Old Chicago, Old Town, Wichita, KS. Pours a solid black that slowly fades into amber. Velvety chocolate and slight smoke in the nose. Rosy malt flavor that tastes like lipstick. Thin mouthfeel. Good for Mary Kay, but not for me. cbkschubert (2022), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
