May 26, 2006 zero head. ugly brown color, dark and murky, some mustard. smells nice, but it’s so weak. nothing much going on here, a bit of nuts. quite simple, quite drinkable. i bet people who are new to good beer would find it quite agreeable.

May 13, 2006 Bottle. Dark chocolate/purple pour with a minimal gray ring of bubbles for a head. Chocolate, plums, almonds, and cherry wood nose. Chocolate and caramel flavors are easily noticed and enjoyed, and then a nice fudge flavor emerges with a little nutty flavor. Rich sugar daddy finish. This is a bit sticky but I like that in some beers and this is one of them. Just a light chili like spice bitterness to this to keep it in control that works well.

May 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours a nice clear medium brown color. The taste is of slight hops, a little caramel, chocolate, and coffee malts. The mouth feel is very light. This is a very drinkable beer.

May 8, 2006 Bouteille de 22 oz obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Odeur de malt torréfié et de cassonade. Apparence: La couleur est brune avec des reflets rougeâtre avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel et de chocolat. La durée de l’arrière goût est moyenne. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture mince. L’effervescence en bouche est moyenne. Apr 13, 2006 Bottle. Brown colored with ruby colors when backlit. Decent off-white head, good lacing. A touch of chocolate in aroma, slightly vinous. Medium bodied. Modest acidity with taste, restrained hop bitterness. Decent enough.

Apr 12, 2006 Poured a murky brown with off white head and poor lacing. Bready and toasty with a side of chocolate. Hop bitterness is mild but flavor is well represented. Medium to full bodied and finishes sweet. Tasty, but so are many other winter brews.

Apr 5, 2006 12oz bottle- A very thin head with a chestnut color. A malty aroma and taste with chocolate overtones. A decent brown but not an overly exciting winter beer.

Mar 20, 2006 A mostly lasting thin fizzy tan head tops up a clear medium mahogany body. Moderate lacing. No particles. No bubbles. Aroma presents heavy hay residual sugar, roasted, toasted, faint nuts. Hops are barely noticeable citrusy ... Yeast character is heavy dough. Also, there are faint evocations of grape and evident traces of vanilla. Initial flavor is heavily sugary from what seems to be residual sugar.. Finish is long and sweet (did i get cardboard?). medium body... oily texture... Soft carbonation...
