Loved this beer. Dark, foamy, chocolatey, with just enough hops to keep it interesting. Kind of a molasseslike finish.

Off-white head. Chocolate notes. Round and sweet. Hint of oak in aftertaste.

brown, almost black colored. the aroma is malty and flavor is well balanced by hops. would be nice if it’s bit thicker, but still a very nice brown ale.

Label continues the idiosyncratic Lost coast tradition: a Cubist-styled dual-mouthed African-American snowboards with exhuberance down a mountain slope. yeee-hah! But, the beer...how about that? Hazy, soft brown color, with ruby sides, big head, lush, light cocoa toned. Light, nutty aroma, slightly cola-ish. Taste: nuts, malt, dark fruit, ...fuller mouthfeel than certain popular browns, supple texture, medium bodied, lean, just-fruity finish. Right on for the style, excellent example, but nothing too special beyond that. Nice, though.

Nice deep chestnut color with a mderate tan head and good lacing. Very mild spicy/earthy hop aromas are overpowered by a rich, intense, complex maltiness. Chocolate malt, maple syrup and nuttiness in both aroma and flavor profile. Fairly thick in body and perfect wor a cool spring day. Very enjoyable.

My bottle wasn’t all glistening with moisture like the picture in the upper left corner of this page, but it WAS glistening with taste. Chocolate malt and a touch of nuttiness. Light hops. A fairly mild Brown Ale, considering it’s from the West Coast. I was expecting a hop bomb.

Tap at Kclinger’s publik house in Etters, PA. Pours a crisp light mahogany with off-white head. Barely any detectable aroma. Very fruity and caramelly with chocolate notes. Well-balanced, but not very drinkable, in my opinion.

Nice looking dark pour, brown sugar mollasses aroma. Flavors are present but perhaps a bit too subdued, consisting of roasted malt, dark break, mocha, nuts, tinge of coffee, and hops. A lighter, dryer finish than the very dark color would lead to believe. A nice effort.
