Very sweet with a syrupy aftertaste. Interesting hint of apples. A rather pleasant Czech beer.

Bottle- Nice chocolate/coffee malt aroma. Dark brownish-red color. Sweet creamy malt flavor with only a slight chalky aftertaste. A very nice dunkel.

bottle, bought at the brewery (3.8% ABV). Brown colour, nearly black, medium-size head. Aroma of malt, roasted malt and caramel. Light-bodied but full of flavour: malt, roasted malt, caramel, toffee. Not overly sweet due to the pleasant amount of hops. Well-balanced and impressively tasty.

Redbrown beerr; frothy yellowish head. First a bit bready nose, grassy, greenmalt. Taste again combination of bread, grassy flavours, and bitterish roasted malts notes. Slightly vinous note, liquorice and caramel. Light MF, with some chewiness from the malts, quite refreshing. Quite nice for a light beer. Bit ’stout lite’.

Nice deep dark red color with medium, off-white head. Mild, burned caramel-malty aroma, leather. Slightly sweet, burned-malty flavor with semi-dry, oily finish. The flavor is very much like Weltenburger Kloster Barock Dunkel, only an inch sweeter. Medium to full-bodied, oily palate with a very fast fading finish. Leaves a very faint, sweet aftertaste, and some sugar on the lips (as most czech dunkels do). An enjoyable and very well-balanced dunkel. Maybe even too well, as there's not much character to write about.

Bottle: Clear, deep amber, almost black coloured, huge fluffy brownish head with a little lace, solid sweet dark-malty and roasted-malty nose with a discreet fruitiness and a tinge of hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; almost a tinge of smoke in the sweet and caramelly finish. Good, tasty Dunkel........
