Bottle. Light sugary roast aroma. Dark red brown, golden brown layer. On the sweet side: Dark sugar, light metallic coffeeground roast, a bit saaz bitterness. Medium body, slick mouthfeel, a bit sugar retronasal.

From bottle. Sweet. Small head. Not as dark as other Schwarzbiers.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel in the aroma. Malty sweetish, slightly grassy flavor with caramel. Lovely session beer.

A very fine and tasty Czech beer. Great with spicy food! Fruity overtones..

Clear medium red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet dark bread, roasted, caramel, cabbage, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090109]

Read brown with a large beige head. Aroma had roasted malt, caramel and hints of chocolate. Flavour was sourish and had notes of roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Finished sourish.
