Beershine (2686), Hue, Vietnam Sep 4, 2009 Bottle @ the Lowenbrau keller, Buttenheim. Clear gold with a thick off-white rocky, foamy, fluffy head that leaves the strangest looking splotches by the end of the glass. Excellent aroma defies the idea of it being light, has big worty, fresh grain in the dry, earthy aroma. Palate is thin, to be expected. Slight tang at the end of the flavors is strange...Has a strong mineral character. Has good blonde grain husk flavors. Oakes (8080), gone rambling, Vietnam Sep 3, 2009 @ the keller outside Buttenheim. Ceramic mug. Some herbal hop but the malt is more worty. Fresh, worty with herbal, slightly spicy hops. Finishes medium-dry. MiP (9025), Sønderborg, Denmark Aug 20, 2009 Bottle, 2.5% bought at the brewery. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. The aroma is not very fresh. And the flavour is not either. Slightly bready, quite thin. Not past BB date, but not fresh at all. omhper (12172), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 10, 2008 Bottled at the brewpub. Clear golden, average sized head. Light spicy nose. Dry, a bit thin and metallic. Fairly hoppy, but understanadbly with too thin body. Sea water-like finish. Maria (6167), Thisted, Denmark May 11, 2008 From tap as Löwenbräu Buttenheim Kellerbier. Served in a stone mug, so I don’t know about the color. The aroma has light notes of both malt and hops, and for an only 2.5% it’s actually quite promising. The flavour is light, but it does have a nice, slightly sweet malty note with caramel and a light and hoppy bitterness. It’s a really nice low alcohol. Quack-Duck (3166), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany Dec 28, 2007 bottle, díky pivnizubovi! Golden yellow, medium-size head. Malty and slightly hoppy. Reminds me of a Czech 10° - quite nice for a low alcohol brew. pivnizub (4974), Bochum, Porúří, Germany Jan 3, 2007 Golden coloured, small foamy layer; malty/bready and distinctive hoppy nose - almost resinous; moderate bitter flavour, quite dry, very light bodied, what a surprise; distinctive hoppy aromatic finish over a thin malty base. A thin brew, but far better than most of the loe-alcohol garbage........... rauchbier (2995), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Dec 14, 2006 Bottle, at the brewpub, October 2006. Gold, thin white head and gentle condition. Low yeast and malt in the aroma, gently dry in the mouth with a yeasty bitterness and a slight worty edge, thin dry finish with a slight maltiness
