I can remember when this was being brewed in the USA by Miller, but I'm glad to see it's back overseas, where it began. Compared to Miller, this stuff is great. Great, maybe, but still not the best. Poured out a deep dark brown color, not black, just brown. Aromas of toasted malts, biscuit-like also. Dry taste to it, with a coffee-ish aftertaste. Didn't have much of a head either. An ok beer at best.

it's a very manly, hearty, robust beer. it's dark, it's thick, but not neccessarily outstanding.

Nice malty aroma with small head. Malty creamy feel and taste but a little watered down. Just average for a darkie.

Nice malty nose. Deep chestnut body with medium, but quickly diminishing head. Decent caramel malt character throughout with bit of hops at finish. Not bad.

Brown in color with a quickly disappearing head. Nice malt aroma. Somewhat weak and wimpy malt flavor that is disappointing. Finishes weakly.

Weak malt nose and light bodied, Miller's version of this famous brew is uncomplicated though refreshing. The subtle malt finish fades very quickly.
