Lovely rich brown, brief head. Stodgy husky grainy aroma. Soft palate,
smooth malty body. Woody taste, some wine, or even cognac. Lovely full
grainy nutty maltiness comes through in the finish too, with some woody
bitterness, and some slightly extracty hops too. Good alt-style dunkel. jrallen34 (123), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 6, 2009 Drank at the beer garden. Great atmosphere and a better beer. Brown color with a tan head. nice taste. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Apr 19, 2009 Bottled (Beerangel, BB 02/2010).
Deep clear ruby color, small vanishing beige head. Aroma is a bit caramelly, malty, metallic with notes of toasted sugar. Dry grassy hoppy flavor, finish is kind of papery. Watery palate. Aftertaste is mainly malty with some caramelly touch. Feels a bit cheap. Not very interesting Dunkel. oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Jan 25, 2009 Bottled (from beerangel.de). Deep rubyish brown colour, with small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild roasted notes as well as mild burnt sugar. Flavour is quite grassy hoppy along with caramel and roasted malts. Aftertaste is rather sweet. Still very wellbalanced, even though not that exciting. SkyCop32 (286), Morlautern, Germany Oct 29, 2008 Shared with oldrtybastrd. This is a dark brown with roasted malt coming to the forefront. This is a very decent beer as it is made to enjoy.
