| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2005 Brown beer with a thin off-white head. Smell is nicely malt, toasty, with toffee, faint plum and brown sugar. Flavour is chewy, malty and toasty. A bit of distracting hop skunkiness in spite of the nice maltiness. Herbaceous flavour mixed with toasted malt. Finishes with light toast and noble hop flavour. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2004 Darker copper coloured with a small tan head. Aroma of toasted malt, some caramalised sugars, a bit of pit fruit and a fragrant nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Mild malt flavour throughout with a subtle hint at those pit fruits with more of a stronger taste with the nuts. Aftertaste lasts long in the palate with some of the bittering agents dropping in longer. Overall, a decent dunkel, nothing superlative, but great to try! I sampled this on draught on 07-June-2004 in Sydney, Australia at the Lowenbrau Restaurant on ’The Rocks’. legion242 (1586), Richardson, Texas, USA

Drank it at the Addison Oktoberfest and the dipshits pouring the beer left no head. Nice roasted malt characters and it went down nice and smooth. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
