Bottle brown, 500 ml, 13.7 P
Appearance: Pours bright and light golden, shiny, perfectly clear body texture, body is quite lively carbonated, head is looking very soft and frothy in texture, snowy white in colour and initially medium in size, slowly decreasing to small and giving gentle lacing.
Aroma: Very clean aroma of a light Marzen or Oktoberfestbier. Pronounced notes of toasty - malty, fresh, grainy base, gentle alcoholic accent at the background, nice citrusy hoppy profile denoting lemon and strong scent of spices in hops, especially green pepper, some notes of fresh spring leaves or grass, very clean aroma, soft and inviting to drinking.
Flavour: Very nice, strongly toasty, crispy barley malt, nice and clean bready - barley base reminding me of a freshly baked roll or bread is balanced with lemony - spicy hoppy profile. Hops are denoting not only lemon but also grapefruit and pepper (both green and black), strong notes of chalk, salt and very nice highly astringent bitterness binding your tongue and mouth towards the end making it almost sandy. Finish duration is long.
Palate: Body is moedium, texture is dry, carbonation on palate is quite lively, finish feel is strongly and sharply astringent, rough, sandy, tongue binding, strongly accented, grainy, chalky, reminding the palate of many highly bitter Classic German Pilseners what is a really nice surprise to me in a positive way. rozsoma (60), Győr, Hungary
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Nice pale yellow colour; enermous fizzy head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. Light sweetness in the inital flavour which later turns to a lightly bitter taste and no alcohol feel (despite 6,2% ABV). Soft carbonation and a dry, shortlasting duration. Once-a-try.
