Compact and friable foam, lightly fading. Shining yellow color, a lot lively lighr loaded. Good bubbly. Harmonious and malty scent. Much herbaceous and fresh one. Pungent taste, bitter and of good alcoholic tenor. Balanced and decided end.

Very pale golden-yellow colour with a fluffy white head. Hoppy in the aroma, sweet and a malty in the taste. (Bottle 50cl)

On tap at Winking Lizard Independence. I was wondering about the color of this one, but our waitress came over and told us that they did indeed wonder about the light color of this brew and were assured that it is the Octoberfest - Now that’s nice - an informed waitstaff! This is very light colored golden, nice white head, some lacing. Sweet malty aroma. Taste is very smooth and fuller bodied than the appearance would lead you to expect. Taste is sweet and bready, not quite caramel, finish is lightly hopped. This brew would taste good with pizza.

On tap @ the Winking Lizard Macedonia 1 L mug: Deep gold w/ a lasting pure white head. Not very amber, but more Helles like! Sharp, sweet, grainy malt aroma at first, but softens to a bready and doughy malt as it warms. Clean. Sweet and grainy upon first sip, more Helles like than O’fest: Clean w/ a semi sweet initial finish then turns lightly bitter and herbal hop flavored into the aftertaste. Also a bit of sulphury yeast. Fuller medium body, low medium carbonation, smooth and creamy w/ a light alcohol presence. Not really Marzen like if you think about it! More like a Helles beer with the sweetness and body. Not a bad beer, but rather boring.

Bottle (from Sainsburys BBE Aug 06). A malty start with a poor hop character. Tastes slightly cheap and poorly made.

On draught at Winking Lizard. I didn’t want to spend the $8 to keep the fancy Löwenbräu glass. Pale straw color with a thin white head and thin slippery lacing. Light malt aroma. Thin-bodied and sweet with a malty flavor and just a bit of hops. The finish is short and relatively flavorless aside from a general sweetness. Below average.

Drank this on tap Saturday at a local tavern while watching football. Packed a whallop after I got home after three 22 ozers.

[bottle from sainsburys] pours pale yellow with very little head. Nose was fairly bland but acceptable very cold, some herbal hoppiness, but as it warmed to slightly above freezing it reeked of rotten cabbage.
