Pale yellow, medium white foamy head, lace. Malty nose with alcohol and metal notes. Sweet, harsh, medium-bodied. In aftertaste alcohol comes through well. Reminds me about some strong Baltic lagers. chriso (4851), London, Greater London, England

Bready malt aroma with cardboard undertones. The flavour is sweet, but, at the same time, has a sharp bitterness. The balance is not great. Rather acidic finish, with a pronounced alcohol afterburn. 500ml bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk. BBE 31 August 2004.

Pale golden coloured with a small but long lasting head, some lacing. Slight fruity aroma, light hoppy flavour. Refreshing and light, with nicely carbonated mouthfeel. Sweet and hoppy aftertaste. Good one, probably my favourite of the Lowenbrau’s I’ve tried so far. SilkTork (4184), Rochester, Kent, England
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 28, 2004 Bottle. BBE 08/04. Pale yellow with soapy head. First taste is impressive - crisp and flavoursome, but a soapy taste settles in during the finish and refuses to budge. Hop extract has been added to assist the bitterness, but it simply drags this down to the land of cheap, nasty lager. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 11, 2004 Very dull beer in appearance - almost clear and with little head. There is also no aroma save for an alcoholic 'kick'. The flavour is sweet almost to the point of cloyigness, and reminds me of a stronger albeit slightly more mellow version of Becks, and I hate that beer. Shan't be drinking this one again. rabuc (143), carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA
