Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grassy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light bitter flavor with a light grassy sweet finish of short duration. My expectations of an average beer was met. carruthm (1135), Seattle, Washington, USA

A - grassy/wheaty
T - wheaty and dry, which enhances the wheat flavor
P - pretty standard.
O - It’s not a great beer, but it’s not trying to be I feel. For it’s type, I think it’s a very credible effort and it’s still a beer I go for when I feel like a something really wheaty without the spices accompanying most hefes. cdeaton (66), Madison, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 15, 2008 Yellow, clean and clear. Light mouthfeel. Dry and grassy. Pretty bland. Not bad, not great. OK. CasperQuaffer (142), Casper, Wyoming, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 14, 2008 When I was a kid, and a Hamm’s beer sign was on every downtown bar, this was the "classy" beer to drink. I think I see why. It has a pure yellow color with a pure white head. The aroma is pleasant grain and yeast, but not overpowering or remarkable. The taste has just enough hops to make this taste like beer. All these factors would have made it "fancy" in the 70s. But, the overall taste is cereal to grassy. It is, however, clean enough to make it a pleasant drinker. It could still be classy in the mega brew crowd (or am I being elitist?) At least I’m not running for President! elihapa (1052), Honolulu, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 13, 2008 4/5/08 notes: Had at party, bottle served half-cold. Nose was grassy, with a touch of hops and not much else. Flavor was of grass, bread, some hop bitterness and that’s about it. Defintely had traces of the metallicky flavor I despise in American Macros, but at least this beer finishes clean. Would not buy on my own, however.) EnSiFeRuM (501), Quebec, Canada
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | May 7, 2008 Aroma: Skunk alert! Goddamn green bottle. A bit of bready malt, otherwise this is musty, uninteresting, and bland.
Appearance: Very pale, clear, dingy, brassy yellow; almost the color of egg whites. White head is very fizzy but with adequate retention.
Flavor: Very bland. Corn, a bit of grassy hop bitterness and old hop cheesiness. Clean and crisp, like mineral water. Overall, a stereotypically lousy beer worthy of much lampooning.
Palate: Actually somewhat chewy, while at the same time effervescent. Not bad.
Overall: (Yawn!) If you’re looking for a bland, relatively unobtrusive beer, there are better and cheaper options out there. msante79 (830), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
