| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Only a 1,5 l plastic bottle unfortunately. Here I haven’t seen it in glass bottle, but still did not pay attention. So might re-rate. Yellow body with moderate white head. Not strong aroma, hoppy. Flavour quite bitter, but it somehow fades soon, as the palate get used to it. Not so good finish, bit soapy. Average lager. The flavour is decidedly more bitter than the nose suggests, with small hints of something citrus and a pleasingly dry finish. Enjoyable, but this dort doesn’t have quite enough depth to be a truly rewarding experience. illinismitty (1801), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 24, 2007 This beer reminds me of the commercials in the 70’s. Bottle. Pours pale golden with a white head. Aroma of european pale malt aroma, and a weak one at that. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Rather ordinary and dull (like my rating). Sweet bready malts with a touch of spicy hops. Clean finish. Better than american macros, but not worth a premium price. Muggus69 (567), Sydney, Australia
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 23, 2007 Chilled 330ml bottle. Sweetish malt on the nose, some light citrus/floral hops. Pours a clean golden body with fluffy white head. Reasonably carbonated and dry, moderate bitterness. Biscuity malts on the body, a touch of citrus hop character. A typical German session lager, innoffensive and easy drinking. JesseM (680), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2007 Updated: Oct 19, 2007So its not world class, geez so sue the brewery for your 2 dollars back. It’s a decent enough beer, and I can see why it’s classified as a dort/helles, it does have some alright bready malts in there, with a decent citrus hop finish. These low ratings are just stupid in my opinion. Try it from a can rather than the green bottle to avoid possible skunkiness.
